Today, he is a dedicated leader within Infinnum's IFRS Practice Unit, where he ensures that the team is guided towards achieving their goals, whether it’s hitting the company’s revenue targets or encouraging professional and personal growth.
Carl’s role is a perfect mix of teamwork and client support.
“As a team leader at the IFRS Practice Unit, I ensure that we provide our clients with top-notch services for their businesses,” he shared. He’s deeply involved in helping clients navigate their financial reports, providing hands-on assistance with accounting software implementations, and offering valuable mentorship and training to their clients' in-house accountants.
With this, Carl wanted to provide even better service, Carl then had an idea to take his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure examination.
"Working while studying for the CPA exam was the most challenging part of my journey so far," Carl recalls. "Managing my time without compromising my work was a constant struggle." There were numerous sleepless nights when Carl felt like giving up due to exhaustion.
The pressure of balancing work and study often became overwhelming.
"My family played a crucial role, helping out in their own ways, such as taking over my chores at home and preparing my meals,” he shared. Hence, the continuous support of his family allowed him to focus on his studies and manage his time more effectively.
But what got Carl through those tough moments the most was intensive prayer and the unwavering support of the people around him.

One of Infinnum’s core values is placing God at the center of everything. Besides Carl’s determination to obtain his license, he makes it a point to embody this core value in every aspect of his journey, ensuring that his efforts are guided by faith and integrity.

In fact, Infinnum wanted Carl to focus, so they gave him a lighter workload than he usually had. "They lightened my workload and gave me fewer responsibilities so I could concentrate on my review and exam," Carl explains.
Infinnum even provided him with a two-month sabbatical to fully dedicate himself to studying. Carl is a private person, and the management at Infinnum respected his wish to keep his sabbatical quiet. But when the time came to celebrate his success, the team made sure to announce his achievement and celebrate it wholeheartedly.

It was surely a tough journey, but with determination, support, and a lot of prayers, he was able to achieve his goal of becoming a CPA. This move showcased his passion for growth and how this was all possible with Infinnum’s support.

When Carl received the news that he had passed the CPA Licensure exam, he was initially in disbelief. "I wasn't sure if I should believe it," he recalls.
"In just two months, I had already got the license." He was speechless at first, but once it sank in, he was filled with happiness and pride.
Returning to work after obtaining his CPA license, Carl shared, "Honestly, there's not much impact or change at work after getting the license," he admits. Infinnum maintains a fair distribution of roles and workloads for all employees, ensuring everyone is treated equally, regardless of their licensure status.
However, the license has given Carl a confidence boost and opened up other opportunities to work on different roles once he is ready. "Given the chance, I could shift careers if the time is right," he says.
Moreover, within Infinnum, there are various practice units, such as management advisory and tax consulting, where Carl can further practice and expand his professional expertise.
After all, Carl is confident in Infinnum's support for career advancement. "Infinnum is already providing different trainings outside of our practice units that equip us with the skills we need if we want to shift careers and improve collaboration for engagements and projects requiring teamwork," he shares.
